Live From The Fifth Grade

I stared at the keys, fear starting to swirl in my stomach. Had Mr. Doyle 

forgotten that he let me have the keys to unlock the nurse's office yesterday? 

When I glanced over at Patrick he was looking as sick as I felt. Did Mr. Doyle 

mention giving us the keys, or was he trying to keep us out of trouble?

Mr. Miller picked up the telephone. He pressed a few buttons, waited and said, “There’s a bank thief hiding in the house next door who is armed and dangerous.” Then he gave the police the address of the yellow house. Everyone was scared of what could happen next.
